Insight: The one who complains finds a reason while the one who tries finds a path.
In one city, there had long been a tradition: after any king who ruled for ten years, a new king would be selected. The old king would be sent to a deserted island with no food or water. In the end, alone and helpless, the king would suffer and die. If any king refused to go to the island after enjoying ten years of power, he would be taken there by force. No complaint was heard.
Once, a wise person came to the throne. This king gave orders and, over the next ten years, developed the deserted island. Farming got started, houses were built, wells and lakes were dug, gardens were made, and people started settling there. That island became a developed city. Ten days before his ten-year rule was about to end, he sent his family members to the island.
When his ten years of power ended, he was sent to that island. But there, waves of prosperity were visible everywhere. Nothing was lacking.
The king changed his perspective and made positive efforts. In doing so, he saved not only his own life, but also the lives of future kings.
Resolve: Instead of being defeated by unfavourable circumstances, I will search for a path.
Fate hands us the island; perspective decides whether it remains deserted
